Who is Green Sun?
Green Sun is a translation and localization group with offices in Tokyo, Japan and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. It began in 2005 as a software outsourcing company for the Japanese market, and today provides translation, localization, software development and consulting between Japanese, English and Asian languages.

Company history
Our founding and growth
Green Sun provides translation, interpretation and localization services, with a focus on Vietnamese–Japanese language support. Since its founding, Green Sun has upheld its commitment to “the development of people’s spirit, body and intellect.” Every Green Sun employee embraces a positive mindset and works and grows in line with the company’s 5 Core Values.

2005 – 2009 Change: the leap forward
2005
Founding of Green Sun Co., Ltd.
2005 brought many positive changes to the software market. In Vietnam in particular, companies kept raising the quality of their outsourcing work and looking for foreign partners in Asia, especially in fast-growing countries such as Japan. In response to these market conditions, Green Sun was officially founded on August 1, 2005 as Green Sun Co., Ltd., specializing in software outsourcing for the Japanese market. It started with only 5 employees, but worked hard to establish a place in the market.
2007
Entering the translation industry
As the software industry grew, the number of outsourcing companies rose and competition became fierce. From our international trading experience, we saw that language was a barrier that worried many businesses, especially when they could not accurately control product quality or understand the special features of each product. We decided on a bold step: adding a translation department to support our own work. In a period of economic growth, demand for language services was high, and when we began translating in 2007 we immediately won a JICA project to translate documents on Japanese railways, a good start.
2009
Founding of Green Sun Content & Consulting Co., Ltd.
Continuing our momentum, in 2009 we founded Green Sun Content & Consulting Co., Ltd., specializing in translation for the Japanese market. With active Japanese investment in construction projects in Vietnam, we were fortunate to receive a project translating documents for the Ben Thanh – Suoi Tien metro line, a good sign for later growth.
2010 – 2020 Building a foundation for strong growth

Specialized translation tools
To speed up translation and ensure quality, in 2010 we began using specialized translation tools in our work. This improved results and saved time.
2012
Founding of Green Sun Japan Co., Ltd.
In 2012, Green Sun Japan Co., Ltd. was established in Japan.
2014
Consolidation and systematic project management
To develop translation in line with technology trends worldwide, key staff of the Green Sun software company merged into the Green Sun translation company in 2014, and Green Sun Vietnam Joint Stock Company was established. Translation project management systems were also introduced that year, to coordinate operations within a unified process.
2015
ISO 9001 process and ActionCOACH
A year later, building on this foundation, we built a management process to the ISO 9001 standard and began using the ActionCOACH approach to management.
2016
General representative of ActionCOACH Japan
In 2016, Green Sun became the general representative of ActionCOACH Japan. By then the company held an established position in the market and began to build a more orderly organization.
2018
Corporate culture with Engage & Grow
With the principle “for the development of people,” in 2018 Green Sun introduced Engage & Grow to strengthen its corporate culture and connect employees, drawing on the team’s strengths to move the company forward.
2019
Customer management with CRM
In 2019, Green Sun introduced CRM to coordinate customer management and maintain strong client relationships.
2020
Corporate Coaching and automation (RPA)
In 2020, Green Sun introduced a Corporate Coaching system to train its managers and used Robotic Process Automation to automate management tasks.
Today Continuous improvement for Japanese-standard quality

Beyond translation: M&A and business matching
In 2022, Green Sun expanded beyond translation services to launch M&A and business matching services.

Our language and localization services
Beyond translation, Green Sun has expertise in multilingual and IT services such as desktop publishing (DTP), recording, voice-over, video translation, subtitling, game translation and software localization.
