AI data collection and annotation in Southeast Asia
Speech, image, video and text data for AI, collected, labeled and quality-checked in Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand, with project management in English or Japanese.
Quality AI training data from Southeast Asia
Green Sun supports AI developers and data teams with the human side of AI data: participant recruitment, data collection, audio processing, transcription, annotation, validation and QA.
Drawing on project experience in Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand, we handle every step from recruiting local participants to processing, quality checks and delivery. Requirements, progress reports and issues are discussed in English or Japanese.
At a glance
- Track record: about 5,000 participants and about 1,000 hours of raw audio in one multi-country speech project
- Countries: Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand; other Southeast Asian countries on request
- Data types: speech, text, image, video and human feedback
- Communication: English or Japanese
- Getting started: a pilot batch before full production
Why it matters
A model is only as good as its data
Why AI teams work with a language specialist for data.
01
Native speakers make data reliable
Accents, dialects, honorifics and everyday phrasing are learned from native speakers. Data from fluent, well-briefed speakers reflects how people actually talk and write.
02
Less data exists for many Asian languages
Vietnamese and Japanese have far less ready-made training data than English. Collecting and creating it yourself, with clear guidelines, closes that gap.
03
Evaluation needs human judgment
Automatic scores miss tone, naturalness and cultural fit. Human reviewers compare answers, score them and flag invented facts before users see them.
What we do
Our AI data services
Six services that cover the data pipeline, from collection to QA and human review.
Data types
Data we work with
What we do for each kind of data, and what it is used for.
| Data type | What we do | Typical uses |
|---|---|---|
| Audio / speech | Recruit speakers, record, segment and transcribe | Speech recognition, speech synthesis, conversational AI |
| Text | Collect or create text, then annotate and validate | NLP, LLMs, generative AI, search AI |
| Image | Collect images and annotate objects to your guidelines | Computer vision, image recognition |
| Video | Collect video and annotate actions or objects | Action recognition, computer vision, robotics |
| Human feedback | Review, validate and evaluate AI output | AI output review, validation, evaluation |

Why choose Green Sun for AI data
Four reasons AI teams work with us in Southeast Asia.
Local participants in Southeast Asia
AI data needs the right people in the right place. We have recruited and managed participants in Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand, with criteria such as age, gender, region and language.
One team from collection to QA
Collected data is not ready to use on its own. We run recruitment, collection, processing, transcription and annotation, validation, QA and delivery as one project, so you manage one partner.
IT-managed process
IT tools track progress, task status, data processing and quality checks. We can also work in the annotation tools, data platforms and workflows you specify.
Project communication in English or Japanese
Requirements, progress reports and issues are handled in English or Japanese, and delivery conditions are confirmed with you as the project moves forward.
How an AI data project works
A clear path from your first requirements to final delivery.
Project steps
Share your goal
Tell us the model, the language, the data type, the volume and the deadline.
Agree guidelines
We turn your requirements into clear instructions and review a small sample with you.
Pilot batch
A small batch checks that the data matches your guidelines before full production.
Production
Trained contributors and linguists produce the data in batches.
Quality review
A second reviewer checks each batch against the guidelines and corrects errors.
Delivery
We deliver in the format your pipeline expects and agree any follow-up batches.
What we need from you
- Target language, dialect or accent
- Data type: speech, text, image or video
- Annotation or evaluation guidelines, with examples
- Volume and deadline
- Delivery format and tools you use
- Consent, licensing and privacy requirements
Not sure what to specify? Describe your model and we will help you define the data.
Case study
Multi-country speech data project
For a Japan-related AI project, Green Sun supported speech data work in Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand. Alongside managing about 5,000 participants, we processed about 1,000 hours of raw audio: utterance segmentation, transcription, data cleanup and quality checks. The project gave us practical experience in running large, multi-country speech data operations.

FAQ
AI data services: frequently asked questions
What are AI data services?
AI data services cover the human work behind AI models: collecting speech, text, image and video data, transcribing audio, labeling data, creating language data, validating data quality and evaluating model output. Green Sun provides these services in Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand, with project management in English or Japanese.
What is the difference between data annotation and data labeling?
The terms are used for the same work: adding tags to raw data so a model can learn from it. Examples are marking names, places and customer intent in text, or outlining objects in images.
Do you provide Vietnamese speech data collection?
Yes. We recruit native Vietnamese speakers and record speech to your script, topics and speaker requirements. We can then transcribe, segment and verify the recordings.
Do you provide Japanese speech data collection and transcription?
Yes. Our Tokyo office works with native Japanese speakers and linguists for Japanese speech data collection and Japanese audio transcription, including speaker labels and corrections.
Can you build a Japanese-Vietnamese parallel corpus?
Yes. Linguists align and check sentence pairs in Japanese and Vietnamese, and in Japanese and English, so the corpus can be used to train or evaluate machine translation. Tell us the domain and the size you need.
What is Vietnamese LLM evaluation?
It is human review of a large language model’s Vietnamese output. Native reviewers compare two answers, score accuracy, naturalness and cultural fit, and flag information the model invented.
Can you create data instead of collecting it?
Yes. We write sample questions and answers, create dialogues and compile bilingual data in the domain and style your model needs, following your guidelines.
Which languages do you cover?
We work mainly in Vietnam, Indonesia and Thailand, including Vietnamese, Indonesian and Thai data, and handle Japanese and English data as well. Other Southeast Asian languages are available on request. Tell us the language and dialect when you request a quote.
How do you control data quality?
We agree guidelines with you, run a pilot batch, then have a second reviewer check each batch against the guidelines. Errors are corrected before delivery.
How do I request a quote?
Use the quote form or contact page and tell us the language, the data type, the volume, the guidelines and the deadline. We reply with a quote and a plan.
Need data for your AI model?
Tell us the language, the data type, the volume and the deadline. We will reply with a quote and a plan.
